Trans-F-Air warrants it on and off highway parts against any defects according to the following table:
The warranty start at the date of purchase. In the event that a defect is discovered during the warranty period, Trans-F-Air agrees that, at its option, it will repair, replace or credit the defective product, when returned, transportation prepaid to Trans-F-Air. Any product repaired or replaced under this warranty will be warranted only the remainder of the original product warranty period.
1. General Conditions
a) No unit is guaranteed to maintain a specific temperature output or cab temperature since many variables in installation and geographical location affect this output.
b) It is common for installer to use components from several different manufacturers. If this component selections (e.g. inadequate condenser size) results in failure, the necessary repairs are not covered.
c) Many system failures are the result of poor installation practice (e.g. lack of proper hose brackets). Failures resulting from poor installation are not covered.
d) This warranty is the sole property of the original owner-user. A transfer of ownership shall terminate the warranty.
e) Trans-F-Air manufacturer reserves the right to make design improvements without any obligation to change units or parts previously manufactures.
f) Trans-F-Air retains the right to inspect faulty parts at its facility and determine whether such part are defective. No material will be accepted by Trans-F-Air without a return goods authorisation number (RGA#).
g) In no events shall Trans-F-Air be liable for consequential damage or contingent liabilities, including, without limitation, such things as damage to vehicles, contents or product cargo, expenses for rental of other equipment, of expenses incurred arising from the failure of any unit or parts there of to operate properly.
h) Alteration or modification, in any form of a product shall nullify and make void the warranty. The only exception is a modification with the express written approval of Trans-F-Air.
2. Component Limitations
a) Receiver-Driers or Accumulators will be allowed if the system charge is lost as a result of a warrantable Trans-F-Air refrigerant related component failure. Receiver/Driers and Accumulators are warranted against manufacturing defects and canister leaks for a period of one year.
b)Warranty coverage on thermal expansion valves (TXV) is limited to body leaks and/or internal malfunctions. This warranty is inapplicable il contaminates, such as refrigerant sealant, rust, carbon sediment (caused by excessive system moisture as a result of lack of the system maintenance) are present in the system or the malfunction is due to unauthorized adjustments or repairs.
c) Consumable product such as, but not limited to, filters, bulbs, chemicals and tools are warranted to be free of manufacture defects at time of sales.
d) Trans-F-Air provided courtesy catalogs and illustrations to identify its products. These catalogs andillustrations should not be used for design, etc..
3. Warranty repairs
a)Warranty repairs, shall de made only by an authorized Trans-F-Air Distributor, OEM Dealer or service center.
b) Warranty repairs should be accomplished to put the system in same condition as before the failure.
c) In the event that defective parts are inspected and the defect is not due to manufacturing or Trans-F-Air (ie improper installation, etc.), inspection fee will apply.
4. Warranty Claims
a) The reclamation shall include the original Trans-F-Air invoice and a copy of the original work order show that the installation was done according to the rules of art.
a) This warranty does not cover damage caused by customer negligence, accident, misapplication, wiring,modification or repair by the customer or by people not authorized by Trans-F-Air. b) No amount shall be allowed for mileage, coolant, traveling, accommodation, down time, towing, or any other expenses. c) This warranty supersedes all previous warranty policy.
